For sale here is the prototype whitewood playfield constructed for Atari's 1977 pinball machine "Airborne Avenger". It is mounted inside a wood shipping container which was built around the playfield. Designer Steve Ritchie signed the playfield in 2 spots (pictures included). There is no paperwork authenticating his signatures, but doing some net research of his signatues when autographing other items, it looks the same to me. The wire harness is attached to the underside, and looks like it could have been plugged into some type of Solid State contoller, and was operational at one time. Several components were detached (not unsoldered) on the underside (along the sides), to fit the playfield into the container. I never made any attempt to apply electrial power to it. A sticker on the shipping box exterior says 79 pounds, so i'm using that as a shipping weight. My zip code is 49425. I'm charging $100 for shipping, and will fully refund overpayment. I try to never use the word "Rare" when describing an item, but I think "Rare" fits when describing this one of a kind item ! Thanks for looking !
